Laverne's Sports Bar

This recommendation came from a local at the beach (pays to be nice to people, thank you Tracy and Tyson’s mom) What a good time.. Kids too, but not where you would expect to take kids.. Live music by Johnny Shot took us into a time warp to the 60s/70s.. Food is Hawaii finger food, very good. Not touristic and caters to locals, feels like you belong.. If you’re not picky and want to have good old fashion fun, this is a must stop..

Bouncer let his friends roam without masks, but yelled at us to put masks on as we were actively drinking our beers. We were over 20 feet from anyone, standing in a corner because there was no where to sit. He let us in. We ordered drinks at the bar and then saw the seats we were going to take we're taken. Why were we allowed in and allows to order when they were at capacity? Likely because the bounce was drunk. It was a great place, but their security ruined it on many levels.

Literally the worst. We ordered a calamari appetizer and it took over 30 minutes and that isn’t including the 15 minutes it took for the “bartender” to take our order. The best part was when the “bartender” complained as she walked away that we wanted to get our calamari in a box because it had taken so long.

Got some good wings and and great live music . The pizza is pretty good too. Overall great atmosphere.

Great food, music, and drinks. Security does a great job keeping everyone safe and making sure mask protocols are followed.
