Not always the freshest of food or nicest of people, but it serves at a staple of not only Shaniko but also the surrounding communities such as Antelope and Kent. We are grateful its there.

Stopped in Shaniko to check out the historical displays and museum. Very cool! Would have went into the store to spend some money but there was a Confederate flag hanging out front. Who thinks a Confederate flag belongs on the front of a general store in Central Oregon? Obviously the owners are not nice people, so we about-faced and did not go in.
