The food is as good as the view. Seriously.

Thanks for a wonderful meal. The food quality was top notch and the staff was very accommodating. Thanks for keeping us safe, while still providing great service and food.

Quality: A+nService: A+nPrice: F -- the cheapest entree on the dinner menu is $34 ... and that's without meat. Went there tonight for our 15th wedding anniversary. We were married at the lodge and we like to go there to celebrate our anniversary. But the cost of this is becoming prohibitive. We both got two light appetizers each, and combined, they cost less than any of the entrees. It's a little ridiculous. They could easily offer more affordable options for diners. There really is no good reason for only having sky high prices. You can have an affordable pasta dish along with the $60 venison dish FFS. Otherwise we love this place so much. I wish they loved us back and didn't price us out.

Review is during the COVID- era and state-wide freeze so CDR was only offering room service during our one night stay at Timberline Lodge. My husband and I both felt underwhelmed by the food offerings starting with the very limited menu, the steep prices and the food we did order was nearly inedible and not up to the 'fine dining marketing'. For lunch we split a pastrami sandwich which arrived on very stale bread with a few slices of meat and a side of chips with a $25 price tag. For dinner, $148 later, we received some cold, bland soup, stale bread rolls, rubber like schnitzel and a steak. It was really disappointing and we recognize some patience is needed due to COVID but with the kitchen only serving to hotel guests and a very limited menu with such steep prices it'd be nice to have received some food that was hot, edible and not past it's expiration date. For those staying the night at Timberline during the freeze, I would be well aware that CDR is your only option after 4pm for food. The service staff was generally very friendly.

The food Is great, but oh my lord the wait staff is so unwelcoming. I mean really!? The only staff that is pleasant is the front desk. Timberline is an amazing historical site and I kinda just expected everyone to be as happy as I was just to be there. All of the public that are visiting are very happy and cheerful, but everyone that works here drags the place down. No one is willing to help. The only thing keeping customers coming back is the workmanship of the lodge and ski area.
