Ixtapa Family Mexican Restaurant

Ixtapa is one of my go-to restaurants when I am traveling. The staff are always friendly and helpful, the food is delicious, the menu has something for everyone and the prices are reasonable in the mid-priced range. I recommend them.

Expensive Mexican food without any good flavor. Beware they also charge for to go containers!! We are road tripping through Oregon during no Dine in order for the state and this was the first to go container charge we saw. No prices listed on their online menu, 10$ for 1 tasteless enchiladas, my son ordered taco salad with chicken, he is too picky so he just wanted the shell and chicken, so I asked them if they can add rice and beans instead of lettuce, sour cream, cheese, guacamole, and they charged me extra $$ for it, crazy!! I’m a big foodie and don’t mind high dollars for good food but this is not it. Plenty of other Mexican places in town.

Food was average but the kitchen can do a better job of the request. Ordered veg dish to get chunks of chicken in it.

Delicious Mexican food, beautiful decor, great service and lovely people. The food was served hot and in a timely manner. I had the lunch beef fajitas, which were a very generous portion for only $8.95 I believe, and my husband had a seafood burrito for $13.95. Mine was much nicer with very nice beef, whereas the shrimp in his were just little bay shrimp. Both dishes came with rice and beans and we were very satisfied! The chips and salsa were very good, also came with a bowl of cabbage slaw which was very enjoyable.

Waited 25 minutes after we were sat down at a table in the back. The waitress was rude and straight up assumed we spoke Spanish when we barely know it. When taken our drink order she didn't ask if I wanted it to be iced or blended. It was given to me blended. The chips were awful had bitten into a chip and it was soggy. Never in my experience of visiting had I had VERY POOR service like tonight.
