Balch Hotel

What a wonderful place to stay! It is quiet and peaceful with many adventurous places to discover nearby. I enjoyed hiking in new areas, and Josiah, one of the owners, had some great trails to recommend.nnThe hotel bistro has excellent food - I especially enjoyed the salmon cakes. Deborah checked me in remembered my name throughout the stay. I just changed a reservation I had for the coast for a few weeks to come back here again instead. The intent of these two stays is to study for hours, and this is the perfect place to do that! I especially appreciate that there are no phones or TVs in the rooms! It adds to the charm.

A beautiful old hotel in a peaceful spot. The room was nicely furnished, bed comfy, shower worked great!

This is my 2nd stay at the Balch Hotel and I already want to go back! It is such a peaceful place to stay and is the perfect getaway for reading, studying, and hiking. I have discovered some local trails that are beautiful and within 30 minutes of the hotel. The food is great - I highly recommend the salmon cakes! I appreciated the calm of rooms without a phone or television. Highly recommend!
