If you can spare the time and go somewhere else, DO SO.nnI've gone here two times for medical issues.nnThe first time, I had been in a car accident and my lawyers informed me that since I was experiencing pain afterward, I should go in. Taking their advice, I went in and got my back checked out. Took them 4 hours to see me. Once they did, they only did a few physical tests on my back and then sent me home. No recommendations, no further inspection. I have been having shoulder problems ever since. Shortly afterward, I got slapped with a $3000 bill... For no more than 20 minutes in their care.nnSecond time I went in, I was having such bad abdominal pains I thought my appendix had burst. Was something more minor, but they had to keep me overnight. They have NOT been able to figure out how to bill my insurance correctly ever since. Mind you, it has been TWO YEARS since this has happened. I have been going back and forth between them and my insurance and after we had it all figured out a year ago, after I paid the amount they had sent me, a debt collection notice appears on my doorstep for the entire bill of $3000. Not once since I paid my share did I receive a call noticing me that it had not been processed correctly.nnThey are slow, inattentive, and are not able to communicate effectively. You will leave there with less medical advice that you had hoped for, a higher bill than you should have, and no communication as to how they expect you to pay it.

My husband Jeff Mattes had neck surgery and in all the 4 days not one sponge bath, no changing of wet bedding unless I was there to complain. A bed that went up and down on its own which could have resulted in more damage to the neck but all they could say was we are short on beds. No instructions on how to care for his dressing. Leaving messages for his nurse to call you back with an update on your husband that never came. I could go on and on and they want us to go back in 2 weeks for round 2. The only great thing I would say about this hospital is the surgeons were top notch.

He saw me when the pretty nurse took my vital signs then said he would keep an eye on me while I waited to be seen. It all went a little longer than expected but from what I hear 35 minutes is fantastic. I want to thank him for his professionalism kind acts of service and genuine compassion especially during times like this. Nurse Grace and Ted NP are jewels.

I am a traveling nurse and was admitted into this hospital after having a miscarriage. I had been to their emergency room on 2 different occasions prior to losing my baby asking to see an OB. I never was seen by an OB, and was sent home both times after being told everything was fine with my pregnancy. After I miscarried, I returned to the hospital for the third time and was admitted on this occasion. The staff were very unexperienced and unprofessional! I was wearing my work scrubs when I was admitted, and their staff kept asking me about my profession and the company I worked for; not acknowledging the fact that I was experiencing a traumatizing event (losing my first child) and did not want to talk about anything involving work. Then, I sat in the ER for 13 hours waiting to have my procedure. I would not take my dog to this hospital.

Spent 4 hours in the waiting room at the ER while there was only 3 people ahead of me. In those 4 hours 5 people left that came after me. This hospital is a joke. If you're in Northern Nevada, just take the extra 30 minute drive to renown.
