Although this specific review is about our dinner here last week, we discovered this place this summer and it is our favorite foodie heaven in Telluride (if you get a chance to do one of their wine and food pairings, just do it).nnAnyway, we started this time with the Spicy Trout Fritters. They were very good. The aoli base definitely had some kick. The brown sauce on the side, however, was pure heaven (and also worked well with the Elk).nnFor Entrees we had the Elk T-Bone (absolutely fantastic). At first I thought it was overdone, but then realized it was cooked perfectly to my medium rare specifications, and just looked overdone due to the delicious dry rub. I didn't think the berry and walnut jam added anything to this dish, but everything else was perfection.nnWe also had a ravioli special with a mushroom reduction. It was also a do-again (if you like mushrooms).nnOnce again their sommelier recommended the perfect wine pairing for our food.nnWe will definitely be back after their short post-season hiatus.

Fantastic innovation. The only place able to stay open for service as a restaurant in town because they put up a yurt in the backyard! Warm with excellent service and top of the line menu. No limitations. We loved it and had a great anniversary dinner.

Really enjoyed dinner next time we will eat off of just the appetizer menu since there are so many good ones!

They were bustling when we arrived! Busy for a good reason, the food was fantastic, the place was clean, and the ambiance was perfect for date night.nnWhat I really want to focus on is the service! As I said it was busy when we arrived an hour before the stop seating, a couple was agitated at the host for not opening a table for their walk in on a Saturday night. We only waited around 10 minutes (not a problem!) Before our table was open and we had cocktails served to us. The host apologized to US and paid for our first round, which was not needed but much appreciated. Everyone was very professional, kind, and knowledgeable! Will return and recommend to others! Thank you for a wonderful date!
