I played at Beaver River a couple of weeks ago. We had a 10:40 tee time. When we arrived, we were told they were running 20 minutes late. We actually teed off at 11:40, or an hour after our scheduled time. They had also run out of golf carts, which contributed to the wait. The starter mentioned that this was a daily occurrence during the season, as they have only 8 minutes between groups, and flood the course with players. A complete money grab. The round took over 5 hours to play, and on most holes, there were three groups on the tee. They completely ignored the speed of play on the course, as it was obvious which groups contributed to the slow play. The greens were in good shape, however the tees and fairways were poor. The lack of rain in the summer surely contributed to the poor conditions, however I've played other public courses in the area that were in much better shape. Not a bad layout, and employees were friendly, however finishing the round 6 hours after our scheduled tee time is a non starter going forward. One and done.
This is just a fun and beautiful place to play. And a good value as well.
Very good course, got the winter rate yesterday. My only gripe and it's not a big one is that I wish there were a par 5 on the back
Course was in outstanding shape. Reasonable price for 18 with cart.
Couldn't ask for a better experience. The course is well maintained and the staff is friendly and inviting. The food at the clubhouse was delicious and the seating has great view of the pond and 18th hole.
