I absolutely love Hasbro Children’s and have had great care here for all of my children. After weeks of no answers from her PCP an ER RESIDENT diagnosed my child’s rare disorder within 2 minutes of seeing her. My other child also recently had surgery here and she received excellent care from check in staff, surgical waiting room staff, doctors and nurses.

To the person working the pediatric imaging center to take a number today 8/14/19. Extremely rude to everyone that approaches the desk! The supervisor needs to speak with her. It's nerve racking enough to bring a child here.nBack again this time to the er, again rude and had us wait for 6 hours so far...

I went into labor naturally and my doctor allowed me, my partner and my doula to handle labor as we saw fit while checking on me every hour. The labor rooms are really nice and I very much recommend their bathtubs, which are nicer than the one I have at home.

Unfortunately, American medicine is for profit and bad things happen.nAfter weeks of misdiagnoses based on insurance company standards instead of patient needs, my two year old daughter was treated for a good number of ailments she did not have while the ailment she did have, cancer, went from stage one through four without a diagnosis.nShe came to Hasbro to be further evaluated via, an aggressive thoracotomy.nThe doctor comes into the waiting room hours behind schedule looking dishevelled.I say, I said, this is bad. he says, no, this is not bad, come with me to my office.nOnce in the office he says, your daughter has a large aggressive inoperable tumor.nI say, but it is benign,?nHe says no,nI say, how is that not bad?nHe says, two need to talk, as he up and left us there.nnThat horror story should never be told again. That should never happen to another human being, that was malpractice. That was extremely traumatizing on top of what it naturally would have been.nnI lost my mother and father the same way, treated for everything but cancer until they were considered unsavable, then every instrument of medicine becomes available.nnMy daughter is alive today. It would have been nice if the surgeon considered that possibility when reassembling her. It is a constant source of pain and somewhat disabling.nnI have a lot of horror stories of individual events that occured while my daughter was being treated that I do not wish to relive. Many of them inside this hospital.nnThe reason I am giving you 5 stars is based on one single encounter with one doctor. IO had already achieved full blown PTSD to a degree I had never experienced before, ever professional and person I knew, knew that my daughter had a poor prognosis.nnHer oncologist took me in his office and looked right at me and said, you probably will not believe this but when she is sixteen, you will be playing in your backyard with her and looking back at all this and smile.nI do not ever look back on any of that and smile, ever.nI do spend a lot of time in the yard playing soccer with my grandson though. My grand daughter is almost walking already. I do smile a lot, more than most people i see,nnThe tomorrow fund was phenomenal and Ronald McDonald house is everything they say it is.nThe bad episodes stick out but most of the staff and treatment was very good. If I had to go through this again, I would go back.
