Wow! This place really shocked us! We stopped in for a quick drink and decided we would stay for dinner. A large portion, calamari perfectly cooked, the sauce was delicious with a bit of a kick. A must try!!! Excellent burgers and homemade chips as well~excellent food at an excellent price
Thought we were going to a typical tavern for a drink before dinner elsewhere. The server told us about the food and how fantastic it was. Looking at the menu we were intrigued. So we went back for dinner a week later and were not disappointed. This is NOT your typical pub food! Great menu, reasonably priced, and it was awesome. Definitely a hidden gem in Providence.

Great, first time there with my son, who is a regular. Everything was delicious, and the service was excellent! Staff is very attentive, efficient, and pleasant. Highly recommended!
A proper Irish Pub with historic atmosphere, great service and a great menu. In the current Covid world it's refreshing to find a place where you can still sit down, order a Guinness, a burger and feel normal again. Thank you Congress Tavern!
