Made reservations to go to Chapel Grille early in the week. The hostess who took the call was very pleasant. Arrived on time to our Saturday night reservation and was seated. The waiter came and took our drink order and said he would be back to tell us about the specials. While we waited for our drinks, a younger woman named Madison came and brought us bread. She was very friendly and chatty. The waiter came back a while later with our drinks and again said he would return to tell us about the specials. We had already waited a long time for drinks and knew what we wanted to order, but he quickly left. We did not even have the opportunity to tell him that we were ready to order our meal. We began to have our drinks and again noticed we were waiting for a long time. We finally decided to time how long it would take him to come back after already waiting a long time. During this time of roughly half an hour, we did at times see our waiter but he did not come back to our table. After twenty minutes timing this ridiculousness, we decided to leave. We saw Madison on our way out and said we wanted to pay and leave. She said she was sorry and assured us it was alright and to not worry about our drinks at all. We decided to tell the three hosts as we left. The three woman behind the counter kind of froze and did not say a word. Again we offered to pay for our drinks but did not want to continue to wait for our waiter. The head man at the host station said it was fine. That was all. We were both shocked that they did not even attempt to make things right whatsoever. Nothing. Thanks Chapel Grille! Perhaps this is common for them? I’m not sure. Neither of us had ever had such poor service at any restaurant ever before. We went to Legal’s in Garden City immediately and were taken care of properly with respect by the waitstaff.

My S/O and I went to dinner at this place for the first time on Friday night. The atmosphere was amazing, the lighting, food, drinks, everything was spot on, but our server, he went truly above and beyond. Shout out to Keith at the Chapel Grille for stellar service and conversation. He was tentative to our orders, made wonderful suggestions on everything from drinks to dessert, and every suggestion was well served. We will certainly be returning and specifically requesting Keith to be our server every single time!

The atmosphere is very cool with the restaurant being a former chapel now converted into a restaurant.nOur group of 4 did not order any main entries since none of them excited us to order one so instead we order several appetizers.nnThe cocktails were solid especially the bourbon sangria. The beer we drank called the bourbon cast ale was fantastic but served in a very small decorative bourbon glass. If you want a draft beer you need a draft beer size.nnThe basket of bread was just baked and very warm with a great outside crispy crust and a ward soft inside the easily melted the butter spread on them.nnThe soups were fantastic both the butternut squash and the seafood chowders had great flavor and size.nnThe seafood sampler of little necks jumbo shrimp and oysters again was excellent with the oysters being very fresh and clean. The jumbo shrimp was cooked perfectly with no overcooked ones. They were also beauty cool to temp to eat.nnThe carquitory board was very full of great meets, wonderful cheeses and beautifully baked bread all thou it was all jammed onto a small board and piled on top each other.nnThe calamari was in need of a little help. The RI style lacked flavor. It seemed the banana peppers and other oils were added on after they were plated and the calamari itself was just rings of frozen fish fried, no tentacles included.

I was truly pampered, celebrated my mother's 50th birthday! They brought out a little truffle desert with a candle. We got a lovely bottle of wine, oysters and calamari! We spent about 2.5 hours there. The staff was so sweet, and really explained all of the dishes. A nice spot for a celebration ☺ufe0f
