I’ve been here many times on the adult unit for depression/suicidal thoughts. Their program is amazing! They keep on schedule. They have groups during the day. They never miss a group, which is great because keeping the schedule and structure is very important for treatment and helping you get back to being stable. The staff is amazing, always willing to take time to talk if needed. This hospital is one of my top picks out of any of the others in the state. Very happy with Highland Ridge Hospital. They helped me so much. Thank you Highland Ridge for being there when I needed you the most!

Do not, under any circumstances, leave your loved one here. All that is cared about is their bottom line. All you are is a dollar sign.

I feel that the Staff really care about their clients. They are compassionate and very helpful. The building is clean and they have a great food.

This place doesn't really help. You go there to help yourself but the therapists if that was really who they were didn't help at all. Hope you like group meetings because they think this is the only way to help you. They also let dangerous people mix in with those who are not. Good luck

My daughter was committed here involuntarily. I live in another state. Since my daughter has been there, the staff have given her prescription medication I did not authorize which has a contraindication with two of the medications she is on. They did not give her one of the medications she was supposed to be taking for the first week that she was there. They also did not notify me that they didn't have her medication. When I call to speak to my daughter it's difficult to impossible to even reach her. I have to try constantly for at least an hour every day to be able to get through. Front desk staff either don't answer the phone, refuse to transfer me, or lie to me about there only being one line on the unit and it's busy. Then, if I manage to make it past front desk staff the phone generally has to ring for 10-20 minutes before someone answers it. The next obstacle is the unit staff. They either lie to me, treat me rudely when I am genuinely concerned for my daughter and their care of her, tell me they don't know, or give me incorrect information. Highland Ridge hospital people ides no individual or family therapy. They I ly have group a fee times a week. They provide no recreation for the adolescent unit. The kids just sit around all day with little to no supervision. When a co scorned parent attempts to address these concerns the only option which is given or provided is to pick up your child against medical advise which makes your insurance invalid. But the medical professionals who are advising insurance companies that a patient should stay are the exact reason why the patient shouldn't stay! Bottom line, if you have a child, or anyone else you love, that is in need of psychiatric treatment please go somewhere else. You'll be sorry if you take them here. I sure am.
