Dr. Wolsey and her team have been exceptional. Everyone was attentive and cheerful as they prepared me for my surgery, seeing to my comfort and making me feel like I was the only patient scheduled for that day. I greatly appreciated the play by play comments and warnings as to what I was going to experience during the procedure. I was instructed before and after my surgery regarding every detail. The end result is 20-20 vision in my right eye and am looking forward to similar results in my left eye. Thank you for your skills and dedication to your craft.

Unfortunately the billing department has been extremely unprofessional and seems confused about the process of filing a correct claim and working with insurance. There is only one person is able to correct any claim, yet has refused to return multiple voicemails and over 8 calls. The supervisor has not listened to my concern, and did not listen when I asked questions. She responded to a question about my claim and said I could talk to insurance that very day and that it would be reflected within hours. However, I later found out that was not the case, and again reflected that she had not listened to my persistence over the phone and had answered my question incorrectly. There has been 0 initiative from any of the billing staff, and I have had to initiate any and all conversations about correcting my claim; none of which have been helpful. There is a major lack in their customer service skills. Let this be an eye opener that there needs to be more than 1 employee that can help with incorrectly filed claims, and that all billing department employees need to increase their customer service professionalism. Prior to my billing nightmare, I was already very frustrated with eye exam, as I waiting in the exam room for over an hour for the doctor to see me. Overall, a very very unfortunate experience and there seems to a major lack of professionalism across the entire company. I am not one to leave negative reviews, but this experience has not been pleasant (to say the least). I am a very professional and patient person, but this experience was very wrong and has still yet to be corrected. There's way too many other eye exam locations and opportunities that I would recommend anybody peruse rather than The Eye Institute of Utah.

I went to the Eye Institute and had an amazing experience. I first went for a free consult and met with Dr. Passi. After talking with me through all of the options, he recommended PRK and to try mono vision. I followed his recommendation and am so happy. He could have easily told me to do both eyes and it would’ve cost twice the money. But he genuinely had my best interest in mind. I now have one eye for distance, and one eye for close up and I will not need reading glasses for many years. I’ve adjusted great to it!

The team there is absolutely amazing! I had ICL surgery within the last month and felt like everyone involved truly cares. I highly recommend this facility!! Thank you Stacie, Lexie, Laurie and Dr. Zavodni for the amazing care you have given me!! I seriously can’t thank you guys enough!! Five stars all the way

This place is fabulous! I like a dummy missed my consultation for lasix that was two days prior thinking it was on a different day, even though they had sent me a reminder text before! So when I showed up, and learned I had missed my appointment they were so sweet and accommodating! They even managed to squeeze me in THAT hour! All the staff was very nice and informative. I do believe all my regular eye care needs will be scheduled there from now on!
