Taco Dive Bar

Honestly beautiful place & Good vibes. My waitress was amazing. But as a true new Yorker ( queens bound) & someone who has traveled to over 50 countries.... those tacos were beyond disappointing. I asked what was the most recommended & read reviews...so we got Cod & the shrimp tacos...& got fried calamari as appetizer... Food was beyond dry...I needed so much seasoning to eat this...I asked for lemon/ lime & different sauces just so it would be edible. I don't like leaving bad reviews but I'm beyond honest. If you're in the area which I was, Go there for drinks & a good time...but to enjoy a meal no... bar food type of enjoyment... then yes.

Delicious food and great service!nnMy friends and I stopped by Taco Dive Bar after an early afternoon of apple-picking. What a wonderful find! The tacos were delicious, flavorful, and filling. I think they make the tortillas on site. The drinks were also great! We were there for a couple of hours on a Sunday afternoon and noticed that it started filling up by the time we headed out.

Nothing like treating yourself to a taco bowl with chips&guac after a long day of hiking. Just make sure you have a place sleep right afterwards because this food really knocks you out.

While the food was good, I find it’s not consistent, much like the staff. We were seated and waiting a minimum of 15 minutes before a server came over and without asking anything stated he’d give us some time to decide (more time?!!) mind you there was only 1 other table at this time. I attempted to tell him we were ready to put in our drink order (at the very least), but he rapidly walked away and over to a station where he then pulled out some checks he’d closed, laid them on counter and started to have conversation with another server as he went through his paperwork, with no regards to us. As another server passed our table I asked if it would be possible to get our drinks while waiting for our server. She ended up taking our orders and made the experience a 4.5 star until she disappeared leaving us asking yet another server for a refill only to be told the bar was closed. This wouldn’t have been such a bother if we were asked about a refill prior to their closing, more so because we were celebrating a birthday and had only ordered one drink. We were never offered so much as a refill on water and when our server resurfaced she asked the bartender if it were possible to make a to-go drink, original server (unpleasant), had a conversation within earshot of us making it clear that he wanted to close and clean. Customers were not his main concern. Incredibly uncomfortable and it certainly makes you question revisiting.nIf you look through my many reviews, it’s seldom, actually I think there has only been one other occasion that I’ve been so disappointed with a staff member that I’ve placed a negative review. But I didn’t feel it fair to give 1-star based on 1 person. Food was good and other server was an absolute delight.

Great food and drinks. Service can be a little slow at times.
