I was admitted here a few years ago and I was treated allowed visitor's and the AA, meetings were fun they came in we spoke and mingled we were allowed to do a lot the Ward was laid back staff was chill Jackie was nice so was rose games music good food staff was awesome.
This is the worst place anyone can go for substance abuse rehab. It has the worst admissions process as well as unacceptable behavior by the staff. They go through your belongings and fill out the belongings check list without the patient being in the room with them. I was told too bring my medication with me as they don't always stock it. After my discharge they told me they couldn't access my medication. I also noticed that they never listed it on my belongings form. The value of the medication was $3,000 for a 30 day supply. Save yourself or your child and choose another rehab. Not to mention the pile of finger and toenail trimmings in the corner of the bed frame.
I came as an inpatient about a year ago and there were some things that really bothered me. When I got there it was around 2am so they showed me my room which I shared with 2 other boys but the next day when I woke up I still hadn’t received clothes from any of the staff, instead I was in a paper shirt and pants and my clothes didn’t arrive until the second day I was there which was odd because my parents had left them with clothes for me but the staff had no clue what they were doing so I told my parents and that’s when I finally got my clothes. The water was extremely cold no matter what time of the day you decided to shower and I complained multiple times because it wasn’t just lukewarm it was literal ice water. They have this thing called “group” which is where everyone sits at a big table and we go around saying if we’re angry and how we are feeling mentally that day (this happened 2 times everyday) this was difficult for me and 2 other patients because we did not feel comfortable talking about that in front of everybody and when we did it created a weird tension between everyone. During my visit I expected there to be some type of therapy but the staffs idea of therapy is coloring, reading (kindergarten level books) and watching tv, I would have liked to see staff throughout the day talk to each patient one by one because there weren’t many of us (probably around 17 which isn’t bad at all). Also speaking of activities we had nothing to do, there was a pantry in the common room filled with puzzles that were missing many pieces, ripped apart books and broken board games the only thing that was left was cards which may not sound bad but try doing it for 4-5 hours daily for however long your there. There was absolutely no privacy, I shared a room with 2 other boys and they gave me no privacy, coming into the TINY bathroom when I was showering, trying to scare me in my sleep and the nurses on duty would do nothing about it AND WE LITERALLY HAD A NURSE OUTSIDE OF OUR DOOR EVERY NIGHT. My roommates were also extremely noisy at night and when I would ask to go to the calm room (which was a small room with a couch and sensory items) they would say no which led to me not sleeping which then led to me having discussions with my doctor as to why I was barely sleeping. Overall rude staff including the art teacher, she made kids cry EVERYTIME we went without fail. also it was EXTREMELY hot when walking around in the facility and overall smelled like diapers and burnt toast. Not a very good experience, wouldn’t recommend.
Stay away, far far away from this place. The staff will treat you like cattle. Jefferson Caesar is a disgrace to the entire medical field.
My son jojo razvi is admitted the staff has been nothing be great the doctor as well was very easy it’s hard hearing the things we heard today but it’s the reality they are a good hospital so far it’s been 2 days he’s been there 28 more to go
