I was there with my sister this weekend and we brought my daughter there for her first time for her 21st birthday. We called and spoke to Emily to place our orders and make reservation for wine tasting and we were set up with a nice alcove with an awesome view of the lake. The service was excellent and as always the wine was exquisite. My daughter had a wonderful time and is looking forward to come again. Thank you again Chateau LaFayette Reneau for a wonderful time. I want to acknowledge Hannah who took great care of us and ensured that our needs were taken care of.nKudos to CLR from my sister Wanda, myself and birthday girl Rose-Lynn.

Decided to skip the winery due to reading the reviews, (the last 1 Star was from 12 hrs earlier) and that no one answered any of the three phone numbers we found for the place. (We wanted to see if they allowed dogs on their property since it wasn’t on their website) It’s a shame because I was there 10 years ago and had a great time. Sorry they’ve lost their good service.

Cute little place. Great view. Good wine. Just wish the staff talked a little bit more about the wine to us.

While this place is absolutely gorgeous, that’s about the only good point of going here. I asked what kind of cheese was in their food boxes the server came back with the food box, told me it wasn’t the kind I’m allergic to and walked away. I never actually asked to purchase the box, but one of my friends said don’t worry about it, she’d eat it. We get that accidents happen, so when she brought over a wine flight we didn’t order, we said no it’s not ours, we were missing a red. Everything got straightened out, then we never saw our server again. Finally after getting tired of waiting since our server never came back, and having to leave due to our next stop on our wine tour we went up front to pay. I was the last one out and I watched all of our girls pay. I then pay mine and the bachelorette’s bill. I go to leave and the woman at the register says wait, someone didn’t pay, you owe us $10 for a flight. I pay it even though I was confused having just watched everyone pay for all their stuff. I get on the bus and question the other girls and they all said they paid. We’re assuming we were charged for the extra wine flight that was a mix up with and was sent back since we didn’t order it.nnI’ve worked in a restaurant. I get accidents and screw ups, I get being so busy that you forget your head. Being that there was barely anyone there, we never saw our server after she dropped everything off, and being overcharged, not to mentioned being given food that we didn’t ask for, I just feel there needs to be some kinks worked out at this winery. The other wineries we visited were much more welcoming, entertaining and seemed to actually want us there.
