Rensselaer Bird Center

I really wanted to like this place because I’m pretty sure they take in rescue birds which is great, but the staff weren’t really helpful when I asked about purchasing a cockatiel. They said they didn’t have any for sale when I saw at least 3 or 4 in the store that day. I’m assuming that those were already sold and being held there, but it would’ve been nice if they had clarified that or tried to help in anyway like explaining when they’d be getting new birds in. Maybe I got the wrong impression of this place based on the reviews saying it’s a good place to get a bird because the staff didn’t seem interested in selling me one. Lots of good bird supplies though.

They aren't even selling any birds there. I've went there (50 minutes) to get there for them to tell me they aren't selling any-when they had At least 10 birds. They said they will sell one and that was $2,500.00, crazy. Dont waste your time going there.

Great bird store. Plenty of variety on food and toys and have a lot of birds for sale as well.

It was great I learned so much about bridie and Tina took good care of him he so happy now .

Great!!! We bought our African Gray Parrot there. Elvis! The ladies ate very nice and very knowledgeable. My grandson loves to go and play with the birds. A lot of fun check it out.
