Can’t say enough about this incredible treasure in downtown Albany! The service was top notch, all of the servers were personable, most accommodating and very knowledgeable about the menu.nThe appetizers were large in portion and beyond delicious. Our table ordered 4 different entrees and we shared a little of everything! The scallop plate and the lamb chops entrees were well beyond 5 stars as well as the salmon. It really is a wonderful opportunity to experience fine dining in a casual and comfortable environment. Great job Scott!

So, I've been let down by the bishop.nnTheir staff is amazing.. they did apologize over and over again for the wait, the manager even took the incentive to talk w me and my company about it. That in its self is very very rare.nnBUT... the food! I was so disappointed by the french onion soup! I've been waiting for so long to try their soup and it was just.. not the worst, but it just wasnt the best either. Also, sadly.. the burger.. 16 bucks for it and it just was greasy.nThey were out of half the menu too. I just, I was let down from the overall experience.nnGreat staff though, that really impressed me

My fiance and I went here for drinks and food last night. I ordered the crab cake appetizer and he got the pork appetizer special. The flavor of my crab cakes was amazing, and the way they were made was very different (but in a good way). They were sandwiched between these crunchy wafery biscuit things. And the plating was gorgeous. Only thing I think is that they could have been a little bigger for $13. My fiance said his appetizer was delicious and it was a good size too (it was $9). Cocktails were amazing and some of the best in the Albany area I think and were accurately priced ($11-$13). Their dessert was out of this world. Rice pudding was made with aroborio rice which was very good and their bread pudding was in a skillet and the best I've had in a while. Waitstaff is extremely friendly and good, and the chef came out to our table which is a huge plus in my book.We will definitely be back!

I decided to try this place Because i wanted to try the seared scallop dish and I am so happy I did. Seriously one of the most balanced and delicious meals I've had in a long time. The scallops were *perfectly* prepared and topped with a pistachio cream sauce that made it a bite of heaven. The base was saffron risotto made with imported saffron and there were sautéed greens that added a great bit of freshness. The charred lemon on the side was great to add to the rice and scallops. I couldn't recommend it enough. My dining partner had the steak special of Teres Major and it was perfectly cooked. It had a great beefy flavor. She did wish it was little more seasoned but still really enjoyed it. The truffle fries were also amazing and crisp and salty.nnThe Bishop is really doing a great job, I did not disappointed!

We have eaten here twice and each time the food and service exceeded our expectations. The menu is unique and does not disappoint. It gets really boring to go to so many different places that offer the same menu options. The entree's were fantastic but all the little details from the Mom's spaghetti to the homemade red pepper ketchup made our experience amazing from start to finish.
