Tryon Inn and Backdoor Bar

Thank you so much to the entire staff at the Tryon tonight!! Not only did you fit us in last second for my mother in laws 70ths birthday after a disastrous mess of not writing our reservation down at council Rock brewery...The Tryon Inn pulled thru and your food and chef Mark BLOW them out of the water!! FOOD WAS OUTSTANDING AND DELICIOUS! Service was polite and great! 5 stars thank you so much again!! We as locals will be back soon very soon ud83dude42ud83dude42ud83dude42

I am giving 4 stars because of how AMAZING the carrot cake is! According to the friendly server, one of the owners makes it. I have to say it is the BEST carrot cake I have EVER had. Wish I got a picture of it!!! LOL it didn't last that long. Actually, my friend and I got a piece TO GO, and while waiting for the check we each took bites and had to get another piece since it was that GREAT!nnAs for dinner, what I ordered was not the same quality as the carrot cake. I had a pasta dish and the veggies in it tasted like they were canned (mushrooms), the sauce was very light, and the chicken was okay. I also know this restaurant is not an Italian restaurant, so I have adjusted my expectations for that dish. There menu has a lot of variety to it, so I am definitely going to go a few more times to find something I absolutely love. I have my eye on the Taco Salad, and the waitress told us that the burgers there are fresh and not frozen, so I am excited to go again and try something different :)

Excellent service, excellent entrées! My filet was nice and thick, cooked perfect. Perfect price point & sides. Must go. Make reservations. Breakfast, I hear, is must on a Sunday. Mimosas & Bloody Marys!

Took over an hour to get our steak and lobster and it was luke warm. Disappointed.

Wasnt impressed. Waitress was friendly, but order wasnt right. Food was ok but over cooked.
