I have always liked this place for its great snow tubing and lodge but today the staff won the day. I made a mistake when making tubing reservations and chose the wrong time slot, one I had no chance of making. They did not answer the phone so I sent an e-mail thinking I'd be lucky to hear from them in time as my tubing date was the next day...nnHow very wrong I was! They were able to move me to a different time slot with spaces still available and even refunded me the difference, without me ever mentioning anything of the sort (the newer time slot was 30 minutes shorter). This place deserves every single star in this 5-star review!!!

I attend at least once a week and I always seem to have trouble with the lady who runs the rental desk. Every time I have been to Woods Valley she has either been blatantly rude or disrespectful. Most of the other staff aren’t too friendly but at least they aren’t rude. However, the young adult who usually wears overalls and is typically stationed at the ski lift seems to always be upbeat and friendly. The mountain itself is small but very enjoyable.

Excellent area to learn at. Nice progression from never ever areas with carousel and magic carpet, to the beginner area with the slow chairlift and nice long easy grade of Easy Acres. The headwall on Broadway and Fly Away/Sidewinder usually give the people pause to the next step, but it's a good way to get over the fear factor. For the more experienced riders, if the trees are filled in, there is enough here to keep people occupied for hours. They put a bunch of effort in to building jumps and they look good to a guy that never really hits them, but over the past few years the features rarely are installed. Great place to bring the kids and set them free, because everything funnels into the base area. Prices are a bit hard to swallow for it's size, but we get top notch snowmaking and a new lodge from it.

It was a great experience to go with friends. Had a lot of fun learning to ski. I did rate it 4 stars because of the lady at the rental booth (for skis.) She was being completely disrespectful and unkind to me and my friends. I hope that, the next time I go there, I won't see her anymore.

Always a great time. Kids love tubing and will sure be their first ski hill. Every attendant is friendly and helpful.
