First time trying African food and I was not disappointed. Not only was the food great, but our waitress was very accommodating to my son who can be a picky eater. Only comment is that for the price I was expecting more meat and less rice with the meal. We loved the plantains.

I've only been here a few times, including ordering a few deliveries...but each time I've been thoroughly impressed. I'd never had African food before visiting The Spice Grill, but I'm so glad I tried it. The chicken was so tender it fell off the bone. The puff-puff dessert is a delicious mix of hot and cold (make sure you share with someone). The Spice Grill is truly one of Moorhead's hidden gems.

*update* this must have been a bad day for the restaurant. I've ordered again since then and find the food to be delicious especially the beef stew and waakye. And fish. ***nI ordered through one of the delivery services. This is about my 3rd or 4th time eating from your restaurant. I was highly disappointed. I had jollof rice and puff puff. The plantains were burnt. Jollof rice was just meh. I've had better Ghanian jollof in Ghana and in the United States. The puff puff was also burnt. The ice cream served with the puff puff you could tell it was old and freezer burnt. I'm not sure if I'll eat here again. For the high price for the low quality food it's not worth it. I so much wanted to like your restaurant because it's the only Ghanian food in the area. I guess I'll make my own. Or just wait until I go to Colorado,New York or Ghana again.
