Don't go here. This place will treat you very disrespectfully.
Very unprofessional, their technician kept speaking down to me and calling me honey. She was a young lady who I think might have been a student because her scrubs said Broadview University and she wouldn't give her name when asked.
We came in for a wellness check because we just adopted a kitten from the shelter and they'd given us a coupon for a free visit.
She was fine, just had a little bit of a runny nose so we mentioned that and because of that they ended up trying to charging us over $50. For a runny nose, when we've brought our other two cats here before for the exact same thing and they didn't charge us that because we had the same coupon with their adoptions.
Naturally I was very confused. I said if it was going to be that amount that I wanted my cat returned so that I could take her to another vet. She said that they had already done the exam so it was too late.
When the girl came to give us our cat back she said in a very condescending tone, "We're not charging you by the way, if that's what you're worried about." Then she hastily handed the carrier over and stormed away.
I also wanted to note that the vet only spoke to us over the phone when all the other people in the parking lot had the vet go directly to their car. I don't know if she thought we were going to be a danger to her or something? I was asking the technician a lot of questions because I didn't understand such an outrageous charge but I wasn't acting hostile or anything. Both my husband and I had masks on for the entire time, when some of their other customers in the parking lot had them under their chin. Kind of weird.
Also we were scheduled to be seen at 2:00 but we weren't seen until 2:32. There weren't any other cars in the parking lot by that point so I'm not sure what the holdup was.
My old box turtle needed immediate care, and 3 other veterinary clinics wouldn't see "new clients". I called Salt Lake Veterinary Services, and they were able to see him the very next day. They were able to diagnose and treat him with antibiotics right away, and helped me assess his dietary needs. This place is busy, and rightfully so, taking care of any and all animals that need it! Thank you so much!
This vet was the BEST care I've received and I used to go to places like Willow Creek and ACC. Salt Lake Veterinary Services is affordable and was more thorough with my labrador than any other provider I've had. I took my dog in to get 2 lumps checked as well as he's been licking his paws constantly. The vet was really informative and answered all my questions plus gave great tips about his diet with dog food recommendations
This place was horrible to us. We took our cat in to get checked by a vet because we just adopted a cat from the shelter about a week ago and we wanted to make sure she was ok. First of all, we had an appointment at 2 PM and we showed up 15 minutes early. There was only 2 people in the parking lot but instead of having the appointment at two we had to wait 30 minutes for someone to come and get our cat from our car. We did have masks on for the entire visit. The lady that came to get our cat told us that the coupon we got from the shelter for a free visit would not work and that the visit would be $50. She said this so quickly that I was confused and thought she meant that the coupon would only cover part of the visit and we would pay the difference, which I said was fine and that I didn't know that. I saw that she was a student from Broadview University due to a pin on her shirt. After a few minutes my wife and I realized we might have misheard what she had explained, so when another student came out we asked her to explain more about the charges and that if was going to be that much we wanted our cat back and we would wouldn't do the exam. She listened to us and said she would find out and sent out the first student back to the car. She told us that because we had mentioned that our cat had a runny nose that it would be $50 for an exam and the coupon was only if the cat had no issues and it was a wellness check and she also told us that the exam was already complete so it was too late to change our minds. I had told them on the phone and at the beginning of the appointment that we just got her from a shelter and wanted to make sure she was ok. I did not ask for an exam and did not know there was a difference. I have brought my two other cats here and had the exact same coupons and both cats had the same issue with the runny nose and they took those coupons with no issues. After telling her our issues and getting frustrated and upset that this happened she went to get our cat. Right as she brought the cat back my phone rang and it was the vet telling us that our cat was ok and telling us the report for the visit. The student said during the call in a very harsh tone "We're not charging you by the way, if that's what you're worried about." I also noticed that all of the other customers that had showed up had a male vet come out directly to their cars to talk to them about the visit and for some reason we were the only ones that got called instead. Im not sure if they just didn't want to talk to us but it seemed really weird. After the vet hung up the student outside the car gave us our cat and quickly grumbled "have a good day" and stormed off. She said it super fast and in a low gruff voice like she couldn't wait to not have to talk to us anymore. She didn't explain why they weren't charging us anymore or anything else. All in all it was a very confusing visit and we were not treated very well and they did not explain very well why they charged us differently on this visit.
They are such nice caring people. What a great staff to care for my Foxie
