I have been the patient of Generations for nearly 12 years and it has been great experience. The doctors have been very attentive to every issue and concern. Delivered my both daughters with them! Highly recommend!

They don't care about you at Generations in Birmingham. If you call with a question or concern, the nurses (like Dawn) don't call you back. Want test results? They don't call you back. Want to request a screening test for an issue you're having? They don't call you back. I've been going there for years and I'm done. This has happened repeatedly - I've even talked to the office manager about it, and to my doctor at Generations. Also the women who answer the phones are dismissive and rude, to the point that they basically hang up on you after they answer your question. Imagine having a worry about your baby and feeling like your dr's office doesn't care. I've found a new doctor that is very responsive to anything their patients need. Avoid Generations if you want competent care!

I don’t like it when the doctor doesn’t call the miners mother when they are doing something different than what the mother ask of them. The doctors shouldn’t be able to choose what to do to your child I will not be sending my child there every ever again

Please take a moment to read this review about my experience at Generations OBGYN in Birmingham, MI.nnI am 16 weeks pregnant and have been suffering from extreme Hyperemesis. The day of my appointment, January 13, was the first day I was actually beginning to feel normal again. I took a paid day off of work to go to the appointment; I had been so sick and pretty much unable to care for my 1 year old daughter for several weeks due to my condition so I decided to spend the day with her after my appointment. Unfortunately, things happened that morning that caused me to be 13 minutes late to my appointment. Upon arrival with my daughter in hand, I was immediately told by the receptionist, Jennifer, that children were not allowed and I have to reschedule my appointment. She then mentioned a text message that was sent prior to my appointment indicating children were not allowed; that obviously was not written in the text message. I am sure that you can imagine my sentiment at that time. Needless to say, my hormones have been raging and I was really taken back by the treatment I was receiving. I am a very kind person and treat everyone with great respect so I was honestly very offended by the way the staff handled the situation. Onlookers felt bad for me and even offered to stay with my baby in the waiting area while I went in for my check-up; but the office denied that option.nnThe receptionists, Jennifer and Laura teamed up against me as I was trying to figure out a solution for my daughter so I would not have to reschedule, they told me very rudely to step out to the lobby. They then proceeded to lie and say that my baby was coughing and that I was trying to switch my appointment with other patients, which that did NOT happen. The patient was simply trying to help care for my daughter.nnThis is my second pregnancy with them. I had absolutely no issues with the first pregnancy; I actually grew extremely fond of the nurses and doctors, Erin Good is one of my favorite nurses. But after I received the unexpected treatment from the front desk staff I began to search for a new OBGYN. After a week of searching, I decided to stick with Generations. So I called to speak to the office manager, Candy Phillips, to settle the situation and hope for a better outcome. Even though I was told I would get a call from her but after a week of silence from Generations I decided to call myself.nnI truly couldn’t believe what she told me: at 16 weeks pregnant, after suffering an awful first trimester, I was being terminated as a patient. I’ve never been terminated from anything before so you can imagine how sick and hurt I felt. And then to be accused of another incident with their billing department was out right shocking. Peg from billing was extremely helpful and caught a mistake on my statement from Generations that I was over charged, she corrected the mistake and all I have been asking billing for is my statement to assure no other mistakes were made. And they call that “being difficult” I have every right to know what I am being charged for.nnI am extremely upset and appalled with the way the staff has handled the situation and the unimaginative treatment I’ve received from some of the staff members. I would never expect an OBGYN office to put a pregnant woman under so much stress. I understand there are rules and regulations especially during this time, but as a doctor's office, they should consider the needs of their patients and help in any way possible rather than turn them away. It is clear that this office cares more about its staff than its patients. So please reconsider if you want the best care for you and your baby and avoid being caught in a situation like mine.

I saw Dr. Huston, and she was the best. Really professional and efficient in my appointment. I wasn't waiting long at all when I was there, and was in and out in under half an hour. I had to reschedule this appointment a couple of times due to other conflicts, and the receptionists were always so friendly and really accommodating. Would definitely recommend seeing Dr. Huston!
