Kim has responded within of few hours of me writing every time, with pics. I also asked about a chance of delivery but that's not something advertised or anything that should be expected. She has kept me updated and provided pictures after my baby tiel hatched and I couldn't ask for a better experience, shes honest and up front and shes a busy woman! Being on a list is different from being promised a baby bird, especially without deposit. I waited a bit too! I even offered to bribe her to move up the list but she held fast. That is admirable.nI've never met Kim in person but I respect her fully and will update when I get my baby tiel

I hope this shop will be open in 8 years since that is when I am moving to Maine but I would like more information about this place like does it sell toys? Do you sell food? And I would just like a better description. Also for your other review saying you don’t know where the babies are going after they buy I have a suggestion and that is make someone fill out a quiz and see if they can take care of the bird. Thanks and best wishes -Abby

Kim was pretty quick to get back to me via email and said she'd have me on the waiting list for a conure baby. Told me I'd definitely get a baby with this last round of birds. She had told me the birds would hatch in roughly a week (this was the initial contact back in the beginning of January). After a week, I emailed her to see what was going on with the babies and if they hatched yet (this was on Jan 17th). I only wanted to know so that I could pay the deposit on what I thought was my future conure baby. A few days after that she got back to me saying it'll still probably be another week until the babies hatched. At that point, that was the last communication from Kim. And just recently, she posts on her Facebook page that all hatched and hatching conures were sold already. She did not reach out and let me know that I wasn't able to get a baby this time around as she priorly said I would. She didn't contact me at all after that. In her email exchanges with me, she also mentioned that she does not give health guarantees as she cannot guarentee the conditions the babies come home to. This is just laziness on accountability on her behalf. If I purchased a bird that immediately went to the vet and the vet deems that the bird had a pre-existing condition before it came home, I'd be out $300 on a bird. She also advertises on her page that she ships via Delta...however, that's not exactly true. She may ship, but apparently not babies. Perhaps she should mention that on her page so that people can be aware. I just feel so cheated...no, she doesn't have to sell to me, but stop whistling sunshine up my skirt and shoot straight with me. I deserved a follow up email at least letting me know that the babies had hatched, but not as many as she was antipicating. Any communication concerning this would have been appreciated, but I didn't get that at all. Just the notice on her Facebook page that they are all sold. I'm really disappointed and have to look out of state to find a conure now.nn***Edit: to address her saying she emailed me...I never recieved the emails she's speaking of. And trust me, I waited on baited breath to hear from her. Again, she said I'd definitely get a baby. Then I get the news via facebook post that all hatched and hatching babies were sold. My first and foremost complaint has been about the lack of communication. I would have been happy to have just been told what was up and moved on to the next breeder. I just felt it was all so underhanded. Maybe it was the email server that kept selective emails from going through. She had other means to reach out to me and did not, so I do not know.nnAnother thing is, I spoke of pre-existing conditions verified by a vet within a certain amount of time of pick up being guaranteed, not health issues incurred by current living situations. I'm not sure why you feel this is a battle ground on Google reviews, but that is pretty telling in and of itself. I also find it funny that a person who knows nothing about this business is able to leave a review, but anyone with a shred of intelligence would see that.nnAlso, I lack a proper ride to get over 3 hours away and back. I have a motor bike, but that wouldn't do to transport a bird home and I am only 30 minutes from the Portland Airport. If that doesn't make logical sense, I can't help you.nnAll in all, the review section for a business is for others to share their experience and recommend the business or not. It is a tool to help the business or owner learn/improve. And instead, she'd like to remove my experience and recommendation as if it didn't happen. Yes, she promised me I'd get a baby green cheek this time around. No, she did not contact me after saying the eggs would hatch in about a week for the second time. Whether or not the cinnamons and yellow sided hatched or were duds, on her facebook page she said they were either hatched or hatching and that they were all sold. I have the screen shot. And no, I would not recommend Kim based off of my experience with her.
