Through the difficult times of the COVID outbreak I was very pleased when Maine optometrist reopened. The people are very low key and they aim to please. I’m waiting on my order of my glasses to come in and I may try contacts and sun glasses not crowded safe and welcoming.

Dr Achenbach was fine, but the office is a disaster. We're switching to an optometrist whose office can answer the phone and order the correct contact prescription.nUPDATE: We just got a bill from these jokers from 2018 (it's 2020) and when we called about it, they very flippantly said, 'oh yes someone in the office accidentally billed a bunch of people from 2018,' and I guess they were just going to ... not call and tell us that? Thank goodness I looked at the date for services rendered and didn't immediately pay it.
Dr. Robinson is an outstanding (and the ONLY) Optometrist in Maine who knows how to treat those who have had a concussion. After 2 years of veering and tipping as I walked, I put on his specially designed lenses and my world instantly leveled out. WOW! Highly recommended, no matter when you incurred your injury!
