Huge selection of freshwater/saltwater live stock. They also have a decent selection of live plants to chose from.nnShoutout to Nathan for helping me out throughout the whole process and being extremely knowledgeable about the fish keeping hobby.

They've got such a great selection of fish and fish supplies! The cashier was really nice, but some of the workers at the help desk were really involved in a conversation and I had to try a few times to get their attention.nnEdit: Bumped it up to five stars because when I visited again today, everyone was super helpful! I didn't catch her name, but the girl who helped me pick a good plant for my shrimp tank was awesome and answered all of my questions!

fantastic selection of saltwater items. fish and corals are priced slightly higher than most local fish stores however i have never gotten a piece of coral or a fish from here that has been sick or diseased...unlike some other local fish stores. i will gladly pay a small premium for healthy, quality fish and corals. also - sign up for the fish program - its free and gives you a discount every time. will continue to come back.

Nice selection of tropical fish and saltwater fish. The staff is friendly and helpful. Their prices are high, and many of their fish are very small, but if you want a much better selection (than say Petsmart) this is where you should go. They have everything you need - tanks, fish (salt&fresh), plants, feeders, fish food, wood for inside tanks, pumps, filters, powerheads, filter media, you name it... Just be prepared to have to wait to get help getting your fish (and maybe be a little aggressive to actually get the help). However, once you're finally able to find someone whos not already with a customer, they're usually friendly and helpful.

I'm giving this one star only because it won't take a review with zero. This company is not a plus one. It is a negative number. We recently moved to Kane County from McHenry County and used this company to move our freshwater aquarium. We had been previously using them to clean/ maintain our tank and Robert there did a great job for us. When we moved, we purchased a new aquarium, filters, wood cabinet, everything from them. Spent a lot of money there because we trusted them because of our relationship with Robert, our service person. When they came out to install the new tank and moved our fish from the old to the new aquarium, within 24 hours all of our 9 fish were dead. We had 6 silver dollar fish that we had for 10-15 years, and we found them the next morning all huddled together at the bottom of the tank. They were all dead. My wife cried and I was angry and still am. I sent an email complaining about this, no one even bothered to respond.
