East Alabama Medical Center- Emergency Room

Honestly, giving them a one star is because it requires you to put a star. Not only was my husband sick and had to be seen but I was as well. I left after 5 hours of not being seen whatsoever. I came in with a fever and hypertension along with other symptoms. Someone did a covid test when I first walked in but they couldn't find it for over 4 hours. I told them I could not wait a minute longer and needed to be updated with info on my husband as well. It took them 2 hours to even get me any info on him and the doctor that spoke to me said he didn't know anything about my care, he was not my position and there was nothing he could do about it. As soon as I got my covid test back, which was negative but I'm not sure that it even went anywhere. Absolute worst care ever! this is not my first nor will it be my last complaint about this hospital. One lady was in there and she screamed for two solid hours about not being able to breathe and no one did a thing. We are in such a quandary in this area because we are limited to this one facility. Someone needs to speak up and speak up loudly because patients deserve just as much care as everyone that comes through there. Not everyone has covid and the patients that do not are being left on the wayside. They kept telling me how busy they were I will try to attach the video but I took I just how busy they were. Not a single person was in this area the entire 5 hours that I was there. I left, untreated and unwell. I'm better off sick at home. ud83eudd2c

I was told this place had the best complimentary prostate exam in the area, and NONE of the doctors or nurses even offered. I waited so long in the waiting room, I had to order pizza three times just to survive! And on top of that, I got clamydia from the chair somehow; my wife is divorcing me, and my girlfriend is furious! I could have died! I will never be coming here for a non-emergency problem ever again

While the hospital has small rooms in the ER and once you are back to see the Dr it looks a little outdated, ALL of the nurses, registration people, NP and DRS were extremely nice and comforting to us. Got us in relatively fast for an ER, and even had prepacked play bags for the other 3 children who were with me.

AWFUL PLACE. If you had a accident go to Montgomery because you may die at this place. MY daughter was hit by a car they kept her waiting for 3 hours in the reception and had nobody else waiting . She had a broken tibia and broken foot.They did not had supplies to use on her after 3 hours waiting doctors do not come nurses do not care about anybody. I was not there with her. I f I were I would have made a hell of noise.

i waited 7 hours to be told my 4 month old son has allergies. just to find out the next day by his pediatrician that he actually has thrush and a yeast infection. ud83dude12ud83dude44
