It’s amazing that you can find this level of care within the Ohio Valley region! Dr. Wood and his entire staff were more than helpful with any question or situation that I had while becoming a patient, moreover the attention to detail in regards to my personal healthcare plan was astounding!nI found this to be a breath of fresh air in a medical climate of uncaring and obtuse medical professionals. I would hope more doctors strive to emulate the example Wood Family Medicine encompasses!

The absolute worst experience I have ever had at a doctor's office. I didn't even meet the doctor. However the staff was rude, condescending and asking me why I was looking for a physician. That in itself is unacceptable. I explained to them numerous times that I had relocated to this area and naturally I needed a physician! I am also disabled which they did not even take into consideration. Apparently I had to be chosen as a patient! That is not professional, proper, and is ethically and morally wrong. I don't know if it's the good old boys club or what it is. But to discriminate against me because I'm disabled and need a doctor is not legal! Apparently the doctors in the Ohio valley area feel that it's okay to have to be accepted by a physician without even being seen. This is not okay! When they are accepting new patients and your insurance covers! I will continue to report the doctors that did that to me. I have found a competent and delightful doctor, but this is unacceptable and for anyone else who moves to this area you need to stand up for yourself and report them! Being a retired medical assistant and a nurse I am also aware of the questions they asked me on the phone that were inappropriate and should have been asked by the doctor or the nurse practitioner when they saw me at a new patient visit! This is disheartening and I've never seen anything like it. Whatever happened to do no harm!

I've been seeing Doc Wood for over 3 years now and right from my first appointment he made me feel that choosing him to be my primary care doctor was one of the best choices I have made. First off from day one till now i have never waited longer than 10-15 minutes to actually see him, the majority of my visits I check in and go right and that is something I greatly appreciate. He has a very personable and pleasant personality as well as a highly professional approach to me as his patient as I'm sure he is with all his patients. If there is something that he feels would be best to see a specialist for, there is no hesitation on discussing the best options and expediting the consultation. From day one I have always felt comfortable discussing any and all medical issues with Doc and feeling like I wasn't just another patient. I would recommend anyone to have him as their primary care physician.

I've never met a doctor that cares so much about his patients. Mathew is a great doctor and a real good guy. I could sit and talk with Matt for hours if he had the time. Don't hesitate to start seeing Mathew as your pcp.

This is the best place for anyone looking for a family doctor! The dr pays close attention to every detail of your health. Highly recommend giving this place your business! Staff is excellent and very professional!
