My Wife & I shared the 6 oyster & 4 jumbo shrimp with a nice house salad, French fries & hush puppy's. I had water. My Wife had ice tea. We also included 6 fried oysters & 6 bacon wrapped jalapeno peppers filled with cream cheese. The fried oysters were very small. The bacon on the pepper poppers wasn't fully cooked. Other than these two issues our food was great. The server was excellent. The prices were a bit higher than I expected them to be for a small town cafe.

Walked in and waitress asked if I had a call in? Told her yes. She said they are working on it. Waited 10 minutes. She comes in lays a order down behind the back counter. Another order was already sitting there. She asked me my name. Asked her if my order has been sitting there while I’ve been waiting. She said u didn’t ask? Told her you didn’t ask? Apparently she was aware I had a call in order the minute I walked in.nnWell, they forgot my gravy for my burnt chicken fried steak with a soaked roll in green bean juice. Oh I can’t forget the undercooked cold baked potato.nnI’ve been ill for over a week and was looking forward to a good chicken fried steak with gravy.nnSuch a terrible experience. Will never ever go back!!!!!!

Neat eating establishment in Port Lavaca. Food is like home cooked and staff are all so friendly. We had chicken fried steak and meatloaf wish were delicious. We will eat there again. Home made apple pie with ice cream on top finished our meals off.

We ate dinner here this week and the food was great! We had a 16 oz steak which was tender and cooked MR like we asked, nice and thick with great flavor. The mashed potatoes and salad that we got with it were also delicious. The blackened scallops were great, too, along with the macaroni and cheese. We will definitely be going back and would definitely recommend this restaurant!
