Tried to call today, spent 40 minutes on hold, waiting on a general customer service person. I got tired of being on hold and drive to the new VA center. When I asked the kady at the front desk who answers he particular number I dialed, she said it was her at the front desk. I showed her my phone, where I had now been on hold for 1 hour and 5 minutes.nnHer response was that there is an issue with the phone system. If I had not ever driven up there I would never have known. Then I asked him for directions to the dental clinic, they had no clue where was said it was somewhere in this area. Fortunately it was pretty easy to find my own.nnI asked about the frame shop for eyeglasses. This was supposed to be a new feature of the new clinic. They said not only is this frame shop not open yet, but the administrator and director has no clue as to when it will be open.nnSame crappy service in a shiny new building.

Wonderful people. I've always had courteous and professional service at the VA. The optical shop is great. Very nice people that are always professional.

Well i had trouble with the phone too, was mad as heck because of the heavy traffic in clarksville, you have to leave 30 minutes early in order to make it on time. When i arrived i told them i was pissed but they were very good chilled me right out and helped me. just wish they did not have to go through Nashville to get our Clinic on the phone. I only waited about 15 minutes to get in and see my new Doctor she was great , started right in on my diabetics which is high, she was more then help full and provided excellent service. This new clinic is the best, large waiting areas, TV even a place to charge your cell phone, very clean and everyone is out to help you. Highly recommend, they have a great Center for PTSD I've been seeing MS Strand she is one of the best. She has helped me and my family. she is the best. I was a unbeliever about the program and now have seen the light in it . Just want to say Thank you all.

It took me 5 years in the military to see a neurosurgeon for my damaged nerves in my body. VA keeps saying the referral is sent, 3 months later nothing. Is all in my records, quick fix...no, let him keep popping this and that pill. Horrible service. Close this clinic, fire everybody. They dont even have manners.

Update - 02: I went in for my appointment yesterday and saw Mrs. Mindy Sims and the Nurse Practitioner, Mrs. Sabrina Cook. I am pleased to report the whole experience was a pleasant one and both of them were professional and courteous throughout my appointment. However, the clinic as a whole is a work in progress. They do labs but have to send them to Nashville because there is no testing facility on site. Moreover, the water fountains were not working during my visit. I will report on this after my next appointment so stay tuned. AP Score: On the FencennUpdate - 01: I got a call last week to schedule my baseline appointment with my provider. However, it has since been canceled twice, and they called me again today to reschedule. I had initially rated the clinic lower but see they are making a good effort towards improving their customer service. The lady who called me seem attentive and apologized for having to cancel my appointment yet again.nnThis new clinic seems like a dream come true especially for veterans who currently travel to Bowling Green, Dover, Hopkinsville, and Nashville for their medical needs. However, given the current level of customer service at the old clinic, it remains to be seen if this will be an improvement in the quality of care and customer support veterans deserve.nnThe new clinic is three times the size of the old one and is scheduled to open for business January 10, 2018, at a 1:00 pm ribbon cutting ceremony. All of the services currently offered at the former clinic are scheduled to be transferred to this new facility by the 16th of the month. The new building will house Primary Care, Mental Health, Audiology, Telehealth, X-ray and Laboratory services under one roof and will increase the number of primary care teams from six to 10.
