What an incredible place! It has been a trading post for over 100 years. If you want to see genuine - and often very old - Indian pottery, katchinas, mud men, baskets, etc, this is the place to go! Plus myriad photos of Native Americans from long ago. Most of the most beautiful pieces are either not for sale, or very expensive. Not overpriced for what they are, though.nnAnd the 87 year old woman who owns it, inherited it from her mother, and continues to run it. So if you want to see something real and original, this is the place.
The couple that run this store are just so sweet and full of interesting stories, facts and history. They were such a joy to visit with. They have authentic arrowheads for $5 each, wich would make a great little souvenir! :-)
A good store to buy your give away items.
An unknown treasure. It just looks like a house with a small sign but it's been there forever (Custer probably shopped there). It sells actual authentic tribal merchandise. It isn't touristy at all. It's authentic.nnBless them for still being open.
