Sleep Inn & Suites

I just want to make a comment about a Gold Star employee named Dave/David at the Sleep Inn in Meridian, Ms. It was the greatest stay and experience me and my family never had. We was experiencing great difficulties this week because of the bad wintery conditions. No water , no power electricity and no heat. phoned into the Sleep inn, Mr. Dave was so professional, show great compassion about the needs of my family and our pet. While making sure he seen that he got everything he needed to make our visit there as comfortable as possible our power was restored. I told him and he was just as happy for us as we were. Because of this I would recommend people to this place of business for their travelling or whatever needs when in need of somewhere to stay. thank you sir. Dave/Davis the Good Samaritan.

I give truthful honest information. The shower had mold in it. The wallpaper around the picture behind the TV was peeling. The bed slept good. Breakfast was carry out in a sack. Not much. I give this Motel a seven and a half. Not 5, not 10, in between. Thanks

Honestly, for the $102 I paid to stay there for the night, I expected better. The carpet looks like it’s been there for years and the paint did, too. It was kind of grungy and outdated. The TV was hanging on some weird box looking thing. The beds weren’t very soft and the pillows were super small. The bathroom was nice but the shower didn’t have a whole lot of water pressure. The elevator was kind of sketchy and shook a lot. I just wasn’t impressed at all. The staff though was very nice and courteous.

My wife and I had one of the most appalling experiences at the Sleep Inn, Meridian, Mississippi that we have ever had in the 30 years we have been staying in hotels across the country. We stayed 2 nights. The first morning before leaving for work, I added a pet stay for our 2nd night. The clerk put us down for that. I get a phone call early afternoon saying that he made a mistake adding a pet to our room because pets were not allowed on the floor we were on. They said they tried to call but they couldn't reach me. I was told all my wife's and my possessions were gathered up and put on a cart and put in the maintenance room. We were embarrassed and offended that someone had touched all our stuff including our dirty clothes and underwear and thrown it into our suitcases and thrown everything onto a cart. My wife's denture case with solution in it had emptied out when they tossed it into her bag and soaked everything in it. I demanded to look in our room to make sure nothing of ours was left and the staff acted like I had asked an inappropriate question...that I should have just accepted their word that they got everything.nWhen I asked why they couldn't have waited until we got back to the hotel to make the change I was told they had to keep the customer room cycle moving. That was their excuse for violating us by ransacking all our stuff when it was THEIR fault from the beginning! We felt embarrassed, offended and violated. This was a Choice Hotel too and we have always had great experiences with Choice Hotels in the past. We will never enter the doors of the Sleep Inn in Meridian, Mississippi again and are telling everybody we can about our horrible experience.

This hotel is a nicer place than other area hotels for a good rate. Have designated rooms for pets. They also offer in-room breakfast of a limited menu. Just don't understand why they don't offer milk. Anyway, worth checking out.
