Amazing job, very nice owner. I bring all my shoes there and have been for a few years. The owner is so professional that he would even tell you if a repair is worth the money or not. Service has always been excellent and prices quite reasonable. I would highly recommend LUX Shoe Repair
First time I went for a shoe repair they did a good job fixing a heel that broke off. Went in again to just do some simple protection for some boots and the shop was unable to complete this at the time they set (1 week) and have since then have not been open during the hours they have set. Not even a phone call to let me know if they will be close temporarily. It’s been 3 weeks since I dropped off my boots and I still can’t get them because they are not open during their set hours.
I also had problems getting repairs completed within the timeframes promised, returning two or even three times before they were ready. I have also been less than satisfied with the quality of the repairs. In one case, I was told that sole could not be replaced. In retrospect, I'm glad, because I have since discovered Pelham Shoe Repair in Newton Centre, which was able to replace the sole, and did so very well. Though a little farther from where I live, I have much more confidence taking my shoes to Pelham.
Be very careful of the 30 day policy - I essentially paid him $50 to fix my boots and when I came to get them after doing a lot of work travel the boots were gone because the 30 days had passed. I was not happy. It’s sneaky, and wrong.
Amazing service! I lost a heel tip while visiting family in town. I needed the boots back the next day and they were wonderfully accommodating! The suede was peeling on the heel too and it looks almost new again.
