The puppy we bought from Alan is beautiful and healthy. Unfortunately she has a temperament issue—both the vet and our dog trainer agree it is an atypical aggression issue, and we’ve been advised to keep her away from our kids. We are devastated.nnI’m sure it was hard for Alan to hear one of his puppies was less than perfect, but his response was rude and unprofessional. He blamed us for the problem, refused to even consider there might be a problem, and brushed it all off as normal puppy behavior.nnThere were other abnormalities in the process too, like how the puppy that was originally assigned to us had a leg injury that Alan couldn’t explain, and he switched it for our current puppy which really was supposed to be for another person that just had the (bad? good?) luck of visiting the puppies after me.nnI rarely write reviews but I thought it was important to share our experience this time. I would not recommend this breeder.
Alan and Dotti are truly loving dog people. They care very much for the moms and puppies and give them the best start in life before going to their forever homes. They are very accommodating and helpful and are a wealth of information. I am blessed to have found them because I would never give my business to a puppy mill. We will be picking up our beautiful labradoodle Angel (Angie) in time for thanksgiving and I am very thankful!
