Butch Cassidy Museum

Seems to be open during peak tourism times: I'd guess Friday- Sunday. My advice is to go straight here when you get to town. If it's not open then go to the Oregon Trail museum. Try here again. If it's closed go to lunch. Try again.... It's not really a museum, more of a historic site with some artifacts which is open for visitors. Free admission; historic building, renovation, and ongoing expenses financed by visitors' purchases st the on-site gift shop.

This is the only Butch Cassidy museum that is on the original site of the bank robbery. That alone makes it special. I enjoyed the museum, and the company. The owner is very friendly and hospitable. I'm planning a trip back with grandkids!

Amazing place to see some history. Free admission amd education of what really happened. The movie was close.

Definitely a fun stop if your traveling through. Great American history!

The museum was closed due to covid19, but we did take a look through the window and if we are ever in the area again we will definitely stop to see if it is open.
