Hank's Texas Barbecue

I ordered the 2 meat platter. The Brisket was good but a bit dry (mixed brisket) the pulled pork was over seasoned as it seems they add spices prior to serving and some pieces were cold. The Pork Sausage was bland and barley warm. The sweet tea had a bitter taste to it. The Mac and Cheese was so spicy I could not enjoy it, and I love spicy foods. Overall the staff is wonderful but to spend 27 for lunch will not happen again, nor would I come back. I was there on 4/3.

I would give them a 5star for how tasty the brisket and turkey is. And a 2star for how small the meat portion is, if I pay over 20$, I expect to leave somewhat full, but it is my fault for not asking since it was our first time there and we are from out of state. There were out of fries, which is staple in a restaurant business. Friendly staff.

While I have not eaten at every BBQ restaurant in the world, I have eaten at Hank’s an amount my primary care doctor would likely consider unhealthy. They are phenomenal both in product and customer service. They are one of those places that closes when they run out of food, and unlike most they have to live up to that.nnYou are reading a google review of a restaurant, so you’re smart enough to read their menu. If it’s on there then it’s great. Even the chicken, and I hate BBQ chicken. Just go.

1st timer here at Hank'snThe people were really great to chat with. The smell was overwhelming in a, 'I must have this brisket' kind of way. And then I tasted the lean cut but fat slices of a delicious salty Smokey tender moist brisket which had a beautiful red smoked color. I will get more sauce time and perhaps try another side or two. We happened upon this place last night by chance when we were wanting some take out BBQ and it did. not. disappoint! I had the ribs and they were nothing short of incredible. Perfectly falling off the bone and the sauce was so flavorful. I highly recommend. We also got the mac & cheese which was the perfect smokey bbq mac and cheese - so creamy and so flavorful.nnThe staff was lovely and helpful, had plenty of suggestions for us. We were already talking about wanting to go back post-COVID to dine in and enjoy the atmosphere. You have to pay a visit to this gem!
