Hospital itself is nice, worst time ever calling in. Always getting hung up on, re routed, appointments take several months to get, I’m on month 5 of waiting to get a psychiatrist appointment

I'd like to say I'm happy with how the VA has improved care and given Vets a choice with Community Care..Did have a recent surgery using CC and somehow a 3rd party Pacific Medical Inc from Tracy Ca sends me a bill for a wrist brace..This company doesn't have a contract with VA and somehow is able to get involved in medical supply for myself..I want all Vets to know ahead to read admission forms carefully before signing them..I don't want any of my fellow Vets to get scammed..Thanks for your service one and all...

This hospital saved my life some years ago. I had an allergic reaction to mushrooms for the first time and googled the nearest hospital. This place showed up and we didn't know it was a VA hospital--we aren't veterans. We landed there at 10 pm and asked for help. The front desk was unsure how to handle us since we weren't vets. On seeing my swollen face, a nurse asked the front desk to figure it out and said I needed immediate assistance. I was given a bed immediately and put on benadryl. Multiple nurses and a kind doctor tended to me for some hours until I was back to normal. They showed kindness, grace, and compassion to a stranger like me in the middle of the night. We went home dreading the hefty bill that would follow but to our shock it was peanuts for the exemplary service we received. I plan to donate to this hospital soon. They're angels in disguise.
