Pick 6 Sports Lounge Lake Tahoe

We visited Pick 6 while in South Lake Tahoe for a bachelor party. We were on the hunt for a sports bar to watch March Madness after a day spent skiing. We hadn't had any luck until arriving at a relatively empty Pick 6 at 6 p.m. on a Friday evening. Knowing what we know now, it makes sense. Long story short, our visit was marred by excessive and unnecessary wait times for basic requests (e.g. refills and drink orders), incorrect orders, mystery charges, and an unwillingness to do right by the customer. Staff members brought food to our table unmasked, which is against the local ordinances no less. Sadly, this bar has a lot of potential. The food was enjoyable and the environment had all the makings of a great hangout. Unfortunately, the cons outweigh the pros.

We wanted a fun bar to watch March Madness games on a Friday night, and this place sold us with the number of TVs decent reviews online.nnDon't sit upstairs unless you want one of the two wait staff to climb two flights of stairs with your order. We had a large group of 10, and the combination of the understaffed waitresses and slow kitchen, there was a 15-minute wait between the first served dish and the last.nnA kitchen member delivered the last dish (which needed to be recooked because it was the wrong item) and he didn't have a mask.nnFood was good, but the drinks were not.nnWe refused drinks because the mixer was clearly out of syrup, but we were still charged for them. Apparently tasting the drinks at first sip counts as consuming, so they could not be removed from the bill.nnWe served our own water from the upstairs bar, which clearly hasn't been used in months.nnAt multiple points, a guy who appeared to be the manager was yelling at his staff in the middle of the restaurant.nnThe service charge for a 10-person group wasn't a huge surprise, but just know that it's 20%.nnThe straw that broke the camel's back, however, was the $15 charge for not paying in cash. That's right. We were charged $15 because we used digital currency in the midst of a pandemic. Never in my life have I heard of something like that, and to tack it onto a bill where we were already disputing charges due to quality and service is lunacy.nnWe ended up paying the bill on a single card, and we will definitely be disputing the charge through our card provider.nnOverall, this place has a lot of potential, but we had a very poor experience. The two waitresses were stressed and overwhelmed. Management is clearly to blame here. John Taffert...get over to Tahoe!

Iveta the server was fantastic and the reason why we will keep coming back. Food is great, and restaurant is spacious so never a long wait. The managers help out when it gets busy so overall service is sharp. Thanks Iveta for making it fun!

Presidents day, so I called to see if they were open (it was 1130am). They said they'd be open at noon. I arrived at 12:10 and they said they were still closed. I asked again and they said another 30 minutes - I decided to go somewhere else... I drove by at 12:15 and it looked like they were open -- sigh...nnI like the food and ambiance -- and several of the bartenders and waitresses are friendly, but in general the service is not that great.nnI'll probably go back, as there aren't allot of alternatives, but they really need new management.
