Huntington Bank

LOVE that Huntington has in-store branches now. It is SO convenient to do one-stop shopping and banking. These are professionals who also do higher-end banking and mortgage financing. Highly recommend.

I’m only giving this branch a 2 Star because the manager (can’t remember his name) was super kind and helpful on Sunday Jan 28th, however he was tied up awaiting a phone call when my husband and I came in. He greeted us and asked us what we needed so he could prepare everything and have it ready so his assistant manager could open our accounts. This is where it all went downhill...nnThe assistant manager was given our IDs but we explained how my last name had legally changed already (not on my state ID yet) but I brought my new SS card and marriage abstract. We opened 3 accounts: checking, savings, and Voice credit card. He not only opened them with my maiden name on everything, but he also typed our address in incorrectly. When we went to sign the paperwork I pointed out the address was wrong and my name. He said that he “would handle it”.nnTwo weeks went by and we didn’t receive any of our cards (credit or debit), so I called the credit card line. They confirmed that our cards were mailed to the wrong address and offered to ship it overnight. Three days went by and we had two missed FedEx stickers on our door when we returned from work stating “package requires recipient to be present to deliver”. So I had to make a 40 minute round trip to FedEx by the airport to pick up our credit cards. Keep in mind this is 14 business days (18 days total) after signing up. I get home and check the cards....my card is in my maiden name, and my husband’s doesn’t even say his first name. His card only says our last name on it.nnOver the course of the last few weeks, we have received about 6 incorrect copies of our voice credit cards due to all of the address changes and our neighbors (who live at the incorrect address given) returned all of our Huntington mail to sender, which was redirected to us as well. On Monday, Feb 26th I went to a different Huntington branch and asked them to call and get my Voice card corrected with my new name (I even brought my updated State ID to do this). Today, Monday Mar. 5th, I received that credit card once again, with my maiden name.nnI honestly feel like Huntington is trying to pull a big annoying practical joke on me at this point. I now have 5 Voice credit cards with the incorrect name on it.nnAll of this could have been prevented if the assistant manager paid a little more attention to detail and double checked our information with us before submitting all of our accounts.
