I had heard many many positive things about The Hub from other cyclists. Having this stop in Brandt Lake is a real treat. Yesterday was my first time going there.nAccording to others, there were new staff members in the kitchen/ordering area. We ordered a sandwich then wanted to split a beer. Because the sandwich had already been paid for, we were told we had to “order food with beer”. There was no consideration of our previous order.....ok, so I ordered ice cream, which the kitchen said qualifies as food. I go to get a beer with the ice cream and was told ice cream isn’t food. Really?nIs this inexperienced staff sending mixed messages? Rigid close to rude staff following the rules to a fault and not caring about customer service?nReally surprised at the abrupt lack of customer service. I understand that there are certain things that need to be followed with beer, food consumption, COVID, etc. I totally get it.nBut the rudeness/rigidity of staff was very surprising.

This is a really cool place to hang out. Whenever I’m in the area I pop in for drink or just to grab a bite while on the bike. Right across the street is a beautiful pond !

They wouldn’t let us get more than one drink and they are extremely overpriced. Staff was rude and I didn’t like the environment. View is nice, but if you go here just go for the view not The Hub.

Perfect spot for a painless but scenic short hike and local brew afterward.

Wonderful and sociable atmosphere with an open view from the porch!
