i was there for 5 days after knee surgery. Very clean, nurses were very very goodI guess my only thing was the food but that’s everybody’s complaint. We’re happy to give me whatever I wanted, but ..... excellent excellent nurses though and my doctor is great! Dr. Boardman and all of his staff are excellent.

Awful. Like AWFUL AWFUL. Seriously, drive to Baystate, Noble or even Boston General! I have had NOTHING but horrible experiences there and the same thing with everyone I know. I refuse to go there.

I’m from ohio, I was staying with some friends for a couple months while I got ready for a move to Texas. I had an emergency that took me to the ER while I was there (though none of the doctors were able to help me.) The entire staff seemed aghast and judgmental that I did not have health insurance. Which is not something I would have chosen had there been another option. I applied for financial assistance because I had no job at the time and because of covid 19 I have not been able to find employment. They declined my request for assistance because they wanted me to apply for health insurance. I was not even able to apply for government assistance because I do not live in Massachusetts. They denied my financial assistance request because of this and I have no been able to speak with anyone concerning the matter.

Doctors and nurses had irritating attitudes. They rolled their eyes and acted in disbelief when I stated I’m pregnant. When doing an ultrasound the doctor mistakingly said “I don’t see it, it must be in your pelvis still” which is NOT CORRECT terminology. While expressing concern for my baby, they rolled their eyes even harder and offered no compassion/ advise/ comfort not even a soft voice that said breath. There was no communication amongst staff members at Cooley Hospital, I had to tell the nurse what the doctor wanted her to do. No matter how many times I clearly stated personal information the nurse got it ALL wrong and had to start over NUMEROUS times. The doctor forgot to check out other areas that were in pain. A few days later a Cooley Dickinson employee told me to go to a Baystate ER for what I needed and for the whole conversation such employee would not stop talking highly of Baystate and their ERs (which employees are not supposed to do, but I am highly thankful for that employee doing such and for actually providing comfort during our conversation.) When at Baystate ER, all of the nurses and the doctor attending to me were in shock what the Cooley Dickinson ER doctor said to me, they became very concerned for me and the baby and THEY (BAYSTATE) correctly checked my body out. Also, it looks like Baystate has buckled down their COVID-19 safety and pre-cautionary measures, a significant amount more than Cooley Dickinson.

I had one of the worst days of my life thanks to this pathetic hospital. I was referred to them for an urgent ultrasound, and they denied me care despite my presenting the urgent order from my doctor and then having them directly fax it over. Once this happened, the women at registration changed their story, saying they needed a call, and were very rude and condescending to me overall. I was making phone calls with scheduling and waiting for them to supposedly get back to me for SIX HOURS. Everyone I spoke to could tell I was near hysterical, but there was no sympathy offered. My mom and I finally gave up, starving and in tears, with no offer to schedule me later.nnAlso, I have come here multiple times for anaphylaxis and received mediocre care every time. The doctors only show up hours later and don't keep me overnight, which they should really do for anyone with anaphylaxis. Next time my life is on the line, I'll make the ambulance go 20 minutes farther to Bay State because I am beyond disappointed this place.
