Been coming to this store for years. The staff here are super knowledgeable, and management is the best in town. Always helpful, polite, and going the extra mile, even for those super rude and selfish customers that act like they own the place. This is by far the best pet store, with great prices. Will never go anywhere else!!
Before it was Smithland, I would have given this store 5 stars. Now, I give it 3 because they no longer sell small animals, their selection for small animals has gone down, and the only thing that has stayed the same in terms of quality and quantity is the dog and cat toy/food section. I love supporting small businesses, but now I have to go to petsmart or petco if I need something for any small animal. I miss Dave's.... Step up Smithland....
Went there to get some supplies for our new puppy. Their selection of small harnesses was almost zero. In addition to a harness I purchased a collar which I noticed the pricing was different for one particular color. When I brought it to their attention I was dismissed and told “that is the way we get them” and that there was nothing they would do. The person in charge was rude and when I was rung up I wasn’t even given a bag for the $40 of merchandise I bought. I will not be going back there. I would rather drive further to a place they care about their customers.
Excellent select of dog food, treats, toys, and other peripherals. Love the handful of bulk bins they have that reduce the cost of dog treats. The staff are always friendly and it's great to have a reward system that encourages buying local rather than Amazon.
I'm really disappointed that they no longer sell any fish or animals at all anymore. Only pet food, gardening supply's, leashes, pet supplies, exc..
