City Tavern

Arrived on a Saturday night for dinner with my family of 4 (2 kids). There was a minimal wait, and we were seated fairly quickly. Waitress was friendly and even interacted with our 2 children as if they were alone and by themselves which was superb. Great selection of wine, tap beers and mixed drinks. Food was excellent and timely upon ordering. Would recommend to anyone!

Worst lunch we've had in a long time! The service was incredibly slow. Another table was sat, greeted and ordered before we even saw our server.nnWe sat at our table for about 20m before we got water and then it was at least 10 more minutes before a server came over. We ordered immediately.nnFrom there I sat with an empty water glass for about 10m and had to give my daughter a snack from my purse because the food was taking so long. Our server was nowhere to be found.nnOnce we finally got our food we had to ask for more water, napkins and silverware. The nachos and kids pizza were not hot. My beet salad had raisins even though I specifically asked to not have them included and the boneless wings were dry and overcooked. We were so hungry by this point we all started eating and I'm glad we did because our server didn't come back until we were about halfway into our meals. When she asked how everything was we politely advised of the problems and how disappointed we were, but she didn't seem at all concerned and didn't try to fix anything.nnWe don't go out that way very often at all, but whenever we do we will NOT be visiting City Tavern again!

City Tavern is my go to for a business meeting, and often a drink with my wife of a weekend evening. The brew selection is the largest of most restaurants at the moment, I love the appetizer's, especially the hush puppies and the entrees which I've had a variety. Their brick oven pizza is a must! If you are looking for sports, the main bar fits the bill. Big screens, small screens and more. The dining room is great since it is well protected from the bar. It is a place for everyone.

Very friendly and attentive service every time I’ve been in. The food is consistently on par, and they seem to really pay attention to even the smaller details. All hot times seemed made to order and the right temp and texture. This is a great place for a work lunch or after hours drinks. Take a date or take a client. Definitely on the list of places we can count on for a consistently good meal.

The food and service were good. A very noisy environment. It was difficult having dinner and pleasant conversation. Rather pricey for the quality and quantity.
