Rip Van Winkle Brewing Company

My wife and I just left the Brewery, it was our first time there. We made reservations and were a bit early. The young lady at the door asked if we would mind waiting or take a table in the bar area. We took the the bar table not realizing the service would suffer dramatically ( hoping it would have been better in the dining rooms).nWe waited too long for someone to come over and take our order, to our surprise the bartender was our server. Note the bar itself was super busy.nnMeal came and we didn’t see anyone for the duration, couldn’t get a drink refill.nnI finally got up and went over to the young lady who seated us and let her know if the bar room table came with worse service we would have waited. And requested the check.nnMy wife then got the attention of the owners son and explained our dissatisfaction. He only apologized saying they were busy.nnMy question was then if you are too busy to provide acceptable service is there a discount for poor service? Well when I got my bill my questioned was answered. NOnnTerrible service and the reason was they were busy, well I am one and done! I can eat at a number of local restaurants where they are prepared to handle a Saturday night “ rush”. We won’t be back and it is unfortunate because I prefer to support small local businesses.

The food and service was fantastic! I have Celiac Disease and they had some choices to pick from or can custom and tailor it. The sliced garlic steak was awesome! We were skiing at a location a short time away and made reservations for dinner here. It was a perfect end to a great day!

Great food! The portions are not for those faint of heart, beer was delicious. This might be my new favorite spot!

Friendly staff, good food. Shrimp was cooked perfectly. Pasta was also cooked well. We also had garlic knots, which were also pretty good. The marinara sauce is pretty good, not overly sweet.
