The food from Highland Grill is always amazing whether you're dining in, taking out, or having delivered. We dined in for our first restaurant experience in months and it was phenomenal. The staff follow safety protocol and it feels good. I would have liked to see my fellow patrons wear masks more when interacting with the staff, but that didn't detract from our experience.
Great breakfast menu served all day. Staff is very friendly and super competent. People seem to like working here which I think says a lot. Great menu and food but have to say their spaghetti and Italian meatball dish is disgusting! I mean not edible. Miss the salmon scramble. Along with Cecils, one of the best places to eat in Highland Park.
Extra great service here in Highland Park! I had the Meatloaf which came with craft ketchup, nicely cooked and carrot slices, and a delightful mashed potatoes. My Mom had a breakfast burrito with additional sausage which looked very good too. Parking is on street so plan on a drop off.
Stopped on a Wednesday evening around 6:30 without a reservation. The four of us sat down at one of the center row tables, but were told these were not in use. Would have been nice it they were so marked. The outer rows of tables and booths were seated back to back with no every other table spacing. Waited on promptly and food was served quickly. The taste and portions were good. The prices were too high. The ambiance was just so so. It’s certainly not a fancy place. It was clean and more than adequate. Menu assumes you have and can use your smartphone. I would stop in again if I was in the area, but certainly not as a predetermined destination.
Highland Grill is our favorite local restaurant. Great service - never any issues waiting for food either. I've been there almost a dozen times and have loved each menu item I've tried. Their burgers are great!
