What a great place with super people. I was in town on business and discovered I left a charging cord for my Garmin training watch at home. Training for a trail marathon in Colorado, and HAD to get my miles in and 5% battery wouldn’t get me nearly far enough. Called them up, Justin confirmed they had the item; went to the store and was so surprised at the helpfulness of the entire staff. Regrettably, I don’t recall the name of the gal who assisted me (thank you mystery gal) - she was willing to charge my watch for me right there and then - too often I forget the greatness of the folks in local running shops...anyway, now I have a “travel” charging cord. Should I find myself in Detroit again I will find a reason to go back and take more business there way...energizing working with such great folks in such a great little shop. Highly recommended! Today I walked into my first running store. And boy I’m glad this got to be my very first experience. I came in looking for a new pair of running shoes. I have no idea what I’m talking about nor what I should be doing. All I know is that I like to run. I walked in and was immediately greeted by Kristen! she was incredible! Extremely knowledgeable. She answered all my questions and continued to tell me how special the running community is here in Detroit. I told her I was training for my first marathon (Detroit Free Press). A little over a year ago I was nowhere near where I am today. I was 100lbs heavier and battling health issues as well as substance abuse. Running has changed my life. I went from not being able to run 15 feet without stopping to running 10k without stopping. I dropped 100lbs, I got clean from drugs and my asthma went away. I completely reinvented myself. Not even a worldwide pandemic slowed me down. I was a mission. A mission to get better every single day. And I thank all of that to running. Running gave me the mental toughness that I couldn’t find with anything else. Places like RUNDetroit are places you go to reward yourself. Reward yourself for all the hard work you did. And so therefore.. I will continue to come back to this store and reward myself with another pair of shoes when the time comes.. thank you for your incredible service!

RUNdetroit has everything I need all in one place. I get excellent advice and learn how to use products. This is a big plus for people like me who need some direction. Their knowledge of all things running, walking and beyond is a caliber above the rest. Not to mention they are also a kind and sincere team. I highly recommend RUNdetroit.

Was looking for a running store,I had never been to one before and from the moment I walked in I knew I'd chosen the right place. Was greeted right away, staff were knowledgeable and able to find a shoe that was exactly what I was looking for. Will be back when time to get another pair.

Beautiful staff. Helpful. My feet felt like HEAVEN!
