We sailed with Captain Karl aboard the Alice E. culminating in a perfectly private day on the water and an unbelievable lobster meal on a deserted beach.nnWeather just happened to be pitch perfect, our captain had plenty to offer by way of local history, knowledge of sailing/sea/lobsters, and an all around friendly guide on the water. The man can cook lobster, best lobster we had in the area... and he cooked it on a beach while we hiked a beautiful nature trail!nnThis will be the first thing we will book anytime we are within a couple hours of southwest harbor. I cant recommend the friendship sloop sailing enough! This isn't flat water sailing, the boat heeled and the sights were incredible. If you have acceptable - good weather, this is worth it. If the sun is shining and the wind is blowing then this is possibly the best time you could have in the area.
