Almost Home Kids

My 18 year old disabled granddaughter stayed for 4 nights for respite care while her mother, brothers and I had to travel for a wedding. This was the first time we had left her. We all agree it was the best experience we could have hoped for. The staff was excellent and took great care of her. The facility is beautiful and she told us she felt very independent and was able to get around by herself. She is very social and loved all of the staff and volunteers. She was able to have visitors and that made things better for her also. The comments that I have been getting from friends and family that spoke with her on the phone and visited her is that she seemed more grown up and alert.nnWe are very thankful that there is a safe place that we can let her stay when something comes up and she is unable to travel with us. The facility was immaculate and all of the staff that we encountered were great. They made us all feel very welcome and the whole experience lessened our stress about leaving her.nnThe only thing that I would change, if at all possible, in the future would be having to take all of the food that she needed for all of those days. It was doable but a little stressful. I understand that many there are mostly very young children on very special diets so it wouldn't one practical to have a dietary staff at this point.nnWe can't say enough great things about this facility and the staff. Thank you so much!

My grandson has been here for 10 weeks, can't say enough good things about the facility and staff. We have had a long hard road and they have given us the confidence to say yes we can care for him at home. The staff are so patient and caring with all the kids. Highly recommend them to help bridge that gap from Hospital to Home.

Only have it 1 cuz I couldn't give it zero and Post a review...my daughter came to this place and was there for a couple months...in that time there was flooded rooms and water leaks and construction going on not to mention the lack of care that was present some days...twice my daughter had a breathing episode at this place that was caused by staff... There was also lack of communication so I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone
