OSF Medical Group - Primary Care

My 89 year old mother has had the worst possible care from Dr. Carlson. At 89 and on a fixed income, insurance only pays for 90 day supplies. Her medicine all needs refilled less than 30 days before her office visit. He refuses to refill for 90 days. I guess he feels someone on a fixed income can afford almost 600 in medicine. Instead of the 90 day supply for less then 50 out of pocket. I guess he feels an 89 year old is ok to go without medicine for 30 days. She’s repeatedly requested not to see this doctor. I have twice requested to speak with office manager. Twice have not heard from her. Come on OSF you can provide much better care than this! This is the first time in my 55 years of being in the medical field to deal with such incompetence. I will be finding my mother a different doctor. It’s 2021, not 1900 when patients had to deal with doctors they didn’t trust.

I had Karen that did my MRI.She was so nice and caring. Making sure I knew every step and why and how it was done. Thank you so much!!

They are very inconsiderate. I always get treated like I dont have insurance. The doctors are really nice and considerate but the nurse's are horrible. Sorry I just call it like I see it. Feel like it's all about the money..

dear dr. Hawkins I am giving you the respect that you did not give me to let you know that I have filed a personal complaint with OSF medical center I am letting you know that I will do whatever I can to make sure that I get the respect that is handed down to me by the Hippocratic oath which you have violated I am going to make sure that you and Brittany the site manager and your staff are held responsible for your actions you say you're from my side of the block I know that you got your degree in Downers Grove Illinois where I was raised then you know what kind of family I come from and you should know that the way you treated me the way you did not read me the right to get my side of the story the way you decided that I have no right to be mad upset or infuriated by Britney's in yours and the prices that there's action my sister who is a very respected nurse practitioner of almost 30 years is horrified and disgusted that you would treat a patient like that and especially her brother she is fully behind me so is my family and my family will do whatever they can to make sure you and your staff be held responsible for your actions I trusted you with my health and like trust we spied a one you destroyed you have done nothing but make me feel uncomfortable make me feel worthless and make me feel like I have no rights to be mad I have all the respect in the world for you Doctor Hawkins and it's sad that you have done nothing but make me now believe that I can't trust any doctors from OSF so I will make you guys answer for your disrespect an answer for your this Lord again disrespected Hippocratic oath and I will tell people not to be not to have you as a medical or a doctor because I'm not going to have anybody else go through what you're going through I'm sorry what I'm going through I was with dr. Xie for 9 yearsnshe is a real doctor he's a doctor that has respect he has respect for his patients he believes in getting the whole story and he doesn't believe in putting his own feelings first he would never cancel me as a paste without letting me know that's a doctor I hope one of these days you'll realize that I'm not from a bad side of the neighborhood that I come from a very good family and my family will do whatever it takes to make sure you guys are held responsible legally verbally and we will tell other people not to trust you as a doctor Brittany as a nurse for that office thank you please have a good day and that was my uncle'snGary Forssander- Baird
