Torrid

Another place I ended up on my date with my woman great prices. There usually isn't a line to get in so just walk on in and enjoy.

Great store and a nice staff but very pricey

I was able to travel to the Holyoke Mall today to visit torrid to return items I received as gifts. When entering the Torrid store I was not acknowledged until I approached the employees at the register. The woman at the register asked me if I was returning and I said yes. She proceeded to not speak throughout the entire return process so I had no idea what was going on. The next time she spoke was to say that the return will be refunded on my credit card. I asked her if I could have the balance on a gift card but she told me that it had already gone through. She then got another employee to help. The other employee told me that there was nothing I could do because the items were already returned and that I could come back tomorrow and they could try to fix the issue.nnThe issue with this encounter was very frustrating to me because the cashier did not communicate with me throughout the return process and she assumed I wanted the balance back on the credit card used. It is just three days after christmas so I would have thought she would have asked me how I wanted the return handled and not just assumed that I wanted the card to be refunded. The credit card used was not mine and so I could not shop with the balance from the items I returned. This was a big issue for me because I drove over an hour to this store as it is the most convenient location. The second employee said I could come back tomorrow as if that was an easy and possible solution, which it was not.nnI am very disappointed with the service at this location and I feel it is essential that employees communicate with customers about returns and how they want the refund initiated. I was not asked this and it completely ruined my shopping experience.

Great styles and prices. The staff are accommodating and friendly. You can't ask for better

It has some nice clothing options but is very expensive in my opinion. Also it tends to be picked over pretty quickly in the smaller sizes so if you are looking for something specific I would suggest calling ahead to see if they have the item in your size. The store is a bit small but does have a nice accessories selection ( still very expensive )
